What you keep on your phone

SnapNPin is a local-first inventory app. Your inventory can include property and room names, furniture, storage spaces, items with their names, colors, and brand or description details, photos, and your AI search history. Core inventory is stored on your device. Local files and backups you export can remain on your device or wherever you save them.

Accounts and optional cloud features

If you create an account, we process information such as your email address, account identifier, sign-in provider, display name, verification status, and profile image when provided. Firebase handles authentication. If you sign in with an email code, we email the code to you and keep keyed hashes of your email address, the code, and the network address that requested it, with request times and attempt counts, to check the code and limit abuse; these sign-in records are deleted within two days. Cloud features store the inventory and media you sync using Firebase services and Cloudflare R2. Shared inventory and invitations involve the other participants you choose and the permissions associated with that invitation.

AI features

When you request an AI feature, the relevant photo, text, app language, and request information are sent to our backend and the AI provider used for that feature. The implementation supports Google and OpenAI; provider and model selection can change. AI request records, credit usage, and relevant results may be retained to provide the feature, track usage, and resolve errors. AI features require connectivity and credits; ordinary local inventory does not require an AI request.

Purchases, reliability, and security

Google Play processes Android purchases. We process purchase verification, subscription status, transaction references, and AI-credit records to provide paid features and prevent duplicate grants. We also process app version, platform, session and feature events, and technical diagnostics for service operation, reliability, and security.

Authentication, application attestation, and abuse prevention can involve device or installation identifiers and network information. Limited identity records are retained as described below. We do not ask you to send payment-card details to SnapNPin support.

This website and support

This website does not include advertising scripts or app analytics SDKs. Cloudflare hosts it and processes network request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. The email-verification page uses Firebase App Check with Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to help prevent abuse. This security check can process browser, device, and network signals and use cookies or locally cached security tokens. The ordinary public pages do not load this check. When you email support, your message, address, and any attachments are processed through our email service to respond to your request. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.

Service providers and sharing

Our service providers include Google/Firebase for authentication, backend services, app attestation, and Google Play purchases; Cloudflare for hosting and cloud media; the AI providers used for your requested AI features; and our email provider for support and account messages. Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Inventory you explicitly share is available to the intended participants according to the app’s access rules. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or to investigate misuse and protect the service.

Retention and deletion

We retain operational information as needed to provide your account and features. Local soft-deleted items may remain recoverable until the app’s retention period ends. Cloud subscription expiry and cloud retention are separate from full account deletion; expiry does not itself mean that all account information has been erased.

On completed account deletion, the app’s deletion workflow removes the account and associated operational cloud data, including cloud inventory and media. For account security and deletion tracking, SnapNPin retains a limited record of your account ID, email address, and account and deletion history for 730 days after deletion, then removes it through scheduled cleanup. This record also includes a fingerprint of your verified email address and your subscriber-bonus claim history to prevent repeated claims. These limited records cannot restore your deleted inventory. Records independently held by payment providers are subject to their policies and legal obligations.

Deleting your cloud account does not necessarily erase local inventory or exported backups. Manage those files on your device and in any backup locations you control. See Delete your account for request instructions.

Your choices

You can manage device permissions in Android settings, choose whether to use optional cloud and AI features, manage sharing within the app, and request account deletion. Contact us if you need help accessing, correcting, or deleting account information. We may need to verify ownership before acting.
